All of our folks are interviewed and have passed a detailed nationwide background check. Only the qualified and experienced end up working as a Maids + Mojo cleaner.

We have three levels of security in place. First off our booking page is protected by extended validation SSL. Secondly, our booking form has it’s own layer of 256 bit security. Third, credit card transactions are processed by stripe and is layered on their own 256 security protocol. In addition, no credit card numbers are stored in our system (only a token that allows us to charge the card). Rest assured we take security very very seriously.

Yes, they do! Once we’ve identified qualified applicants, we run a detailed nationwide background check during our pre-screening process.

If something goes wrong we’re here to make it right. Please let us know right away and we’ll be there to take care of it. That’s our promise to you!

POLICIES

Unfortunately you cannot apply discounts or credits to a past appointment that is already completed. Please ensure these are added either during booking on the booking page or in your account prior to your appointment.

Bookings will be automatically scheduled at the cadence specified at checkout unless your plan is changed or bookings are rescheduled. Payment will be charged at completion of each booking.

For recurring bookings: There is a $99 fee if your plan is terminated earlier than the commitment period, unless the service does not live up to our Happiness Guarantee.

For one-time bookings: Bookings can be rescheduled or cancelled for 100% refund with at least 24 hours notice; 75% refund with at least 4 hours notice; 50% refund for notice less than 4 hours

We periodically offer discounts to both new and recurring customers, so when you see it, take advantage! Here’s how you can apply one to a future appointment:

At booking: Enter the code in the Promo Code box on the right hand side of the booking page, then click “Apply.”

After booking: Logg into your account and click your name in the top right hand corner. You can then select “redeem voucher” and enter your code. The system will automatically apply the code to your next appointment.

Please note that you cannot apply discounts to a past appointment that is already completed.

Our vouchers make great gifts! Feel free to gift it to a friend, coworker, or someone you know.

Otherwise, if we confirm we do not service your area, we will happily offer a refund. Be sure to keep an eye out for updates though and we’ll keep you posted if we add your area in the future.

If something is not done to your expectations, please let us know right away within 24 hours. We’ll send a team of cleaners out to make it right within a 7-day window. If you’re still not happy after our re-clean is completed, we will offer a full refund.

If you’re not happy with your cleaning, please notify us right away within 24 hours. We will come out and re-clean within a 7-day window. If you still don’t think we did a good enough job to recommend us to your friends, we’ll refund your money.

MANAGE YOUR BOOKINGS

We understand that life happens. If you need to skip or reschedule a booking, we ask that you reach out to us no later than 48 hours in advanced of your scheduled booking.

Please note that for recurring plans, there is a $30 fee for each as this means additional time and effort for our cleaning team at your next appointment.

Sure thing! While on the booking page, select the extras that you would like to add to your service. You can add any relevant notes in the Notes section as well. If you’ve already schedule your booking, simply respond to your confirmation email or log into your account and add comments for anything you would like to be applied to your service. We’ll follow up with any questions.

Absolutely. Simply enter your coupon or gift card code into the booking form as you are creating your booking. Your final price will automatically change to reflect your coupon balance. At any time you can log into your account and see the balance on any gift cards you have.

GETTING STARTED

We currently provide services to the Northern VA (Virginia) and Washington, DC area. Keep an eye on our website for updates as we expand.

GENERAL

A Move-In/Out cleaning includes everything in our Deep cleaning, however the expectation is that the home or apartment is completely empty of furniture and personal items. This means that all cabinets, drawers, closets, and large appliances must be empty.

Deep cleaning includes everything in our Standard cleaning, plus wiping down baseboards, blinds, and cleaning inside large appliances. Any additional items can be selected as Extras on the booking form when you select your service.

The difference in pricing that you’re observing could be due to comparing a professional cleaning company like Maids and Mojo to a private individual cleaner. In this case, the private individual cleaner may charge prices that appear lower than those charged by a cleaning company. But keep in mind potential additional costs and tradeoffs you may experience. A few questions that may be helpful to ask include:

  • Will I need to provide equipment and supplies, or will the cleaner bring their own?
    • At Maids and Mojo, our cleaners bring their own equipment and supplies
  • Is the cleaner licensed, bonded, and insured?
    • At Maids and Mojo, our cleaners are thoroughly background-checked, and are confirmed licensed, bonded, and insured
  • Is there a reliable back-up if the cleaner is no longer available?
    • At Maids and Mojo, we typically assign a team of cleaners for each job, and have additional cleaners on staff should a back-up become needed
  • Will I be responsible for payroll taxes for the cleaner?*
    • Once you hire Maids and Mojo, a professional cleaning company, and pay us directly for your services, we handle cleaner payroll checks and taxes on our end.

*Note: Depending on the services hired for, total amount, and frequency, you may be subject to payroll taxes and required to issue a W-2 to a private individual cleaner. For bookings: Our cleaners are available 8am to 8pm Eastern Time, Monday through Sunday. Just choose your desired service(s), and date and time accordingly and our team will be ready to clean!

We price based on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms in the home. Select the number of each on our booking page and the estimated price is shown instantly on our website.

Standard cleaning takes into account everything that involves cleaning a home or apartment. Cleaning/vacuuming floors, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dusting, etc. We do offer extra services like cleaning inside the fridge, oven, cabinets and more which can be selected as Extras on the booking form when you select your service.

Yes, we provide all cleaning supplies, products and equipment, unless there is a specific request for a certain service.
